Following Public Health England Guidelines, we ask anyone (workshop participant or accompanying parent/carer) who has experienced a fever or continuous, persistent cough in the last 14 days (starting from 12th March 2020) not to attend. Guests exhibiting these symptoms may be asked to leave by The Chocolate Shed staff. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to rearrange a party or opt for a party kit for smaller, home events.
In light of the potential for coronavirus to become more widespread in the UK The Chocolate Shed releases the following statement of measures to help prevent its transmission during workshops:
We are a food business working with children, vulnerable adults and the elderly and we take food safety, hygiene and protecting people very seriously, particularly as we want the workshop to be an enjoyable experience for all and to be in a position to encourage people to safely eat and enjoy the products they make during the workshop.
We will take additional hygiene measures within our workshop in terms of supervising hand washing for all participants, handing out party food from platters rather than allowing children to help themselves and ensuring all people who enter our building including those not actively participating are asked to wash their hands on entry.
All guests, carers, viewers or parents appearing unwell and displaying symptoms consistent with any potentially contagious illness will be asked to leave at the sole discretion of the Chocolate Shed party host - please contact us prior to the event should a participant be unwell in any way - to ensure the safety of all guests and our team including those who are vulnerable.
