Taking place in our Warwickshire chocolaterie, those attending (both children and adults) will have the opportunity to try their hand (and sticky fingers!) at using chocolate to make some marvellously delicious chocolatey creations.
At the end of the workshop, all budding mini (and grown up) chocolatiers will take home their delicious chocolate-y masterpieces to enjoy (if they make it that far!).
One place per person :-) (ie. please book 2 places below if you'd like one adult & one child to attend, 3 places for 1 adult & 2 children, 4 places for 2 adults & 2 children ... etc).
Suggested ages: all ages (children aged 3-5 must be accompanied by an adult)
Length of workshop: 1 hour (approx.)
Location: This workshop will be hosted at The Chocolate Shed, Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, Wootton Wawen, B95 6BY.
Each school holiday workshop consists of around an hour of jam-packed chocolate fun!
The children and their parents/grandparents/carers, working with our team of artisan chocolate leaders, will design and create their very own, unique, deliciously chocolate-y treats. All creations will be taken home to share with family or friends but, of course, there's plenty of room for nibbling along the way!
What will we create?
This workshop will have a seasonal theme. Past October half term workshops have involved spooky chocolate pictures, chocolate cups, moulding your own treats for trick or treating and more..! What will you be making this year??? Come along to find out! It's a closely guarded secret until the day!
Can I stay and watch or bring their brother/sister along too?
The price is inclusive of one person. Our parent and child workshop sessions are specially designed, however for children to make chocolate alongside their familiar adults (parents/grandparents/carers...). All of those attending (both children and adults) will get to join in the chocolate-y fun. It is a great way to enjoy some family time getting messy without having to worry about cleaning up afterwards too!
If you do intend to stay with your child(ren) then please book a space for everyone attending. Due to space limitations we will not be able to accommodate siblings and/or adults without a reservation. There are some lovely shops and food & drink outlets onsite though, for you to enjoy if you decide not to join in.
What age range is this suitable for?
There is no recommended age range for this session. If bringing children aged under 5 then it is essential that the parent (or adult) also books a place and stays to make chocolate with them. However, there is no upper limit to age- we have had toddlers and teens in the same workshop, creating chocolate masterpieces with their families.
My child is allergic to ....
Unless requested in advance, all participants will be using milk and/or white chocolate. We can accommodate most special dietary requirements but will need at least a weeks notice to ensure suitable alternative ingredients are available. If you have any concerns please contact us prior to booking.
Do they need to bring anything with them?
No, everything will be provided on the day, including an apron. We do recommend however that the children don't wear their finest clothes, just in case there is a spillage. We may also be using our specialist cocoa butter paint (for decorating chocolates) and/or felt tips (for customising packaging) during the session.
What happens next?
After booking, one of our team will be in touch before your workshop with a health and safety form for the responsible adult of the attendee to complete. This is just to ensure that our staff are aware of any allergies or relevant medical conditions so that the session is safe as well as lots of fun!
