Chocolate Truffle Making for Red Nose day 16th March 2019, 7 pm
Discover the world of chocolate with our truffle making workshop in aid of Comic Relief 2019 on the evening of Saturday 16th March (7-9 pm). We are giving a contribution from every ticket sold on this workshop towards this year's Red Nose Day appeal. So come along, try your hand at a new skill (or explore a new flavour if you have visited us before) and have a fun-filled evening, knowing you are helping a good cause at the same time!
The evening will start with a brief chat about the world of chocolate making and set out a plan for the evening including a forum for questions for our team of chocolatiers.
During the workshop, each participant will be guided through the process of making approximately twenty individually hand rolled chocolate truffles, which they can take home packaged in a professional looking, ribbon-tied, clear cellophane bag.
Since this is a Red Nose Day themed workshop, we will be focusing on 'red' flavours (although there will be a choice of other flavours if berries and other red-chocolate-y goodies are not to your taste). The first chocolate centre will be one flavour made by the whole group. The second centre will be a basic milk chocolate ganache which participants will flavour using a variety of different options to make their chocolate dreams a reality.
This workshop is aimed to give participants the skills and confidence that they need to make basic ganache mixes from scratch at home using readily available ingredients and to experiment with flavour within the chocolate centres.
The workshop will last approximately two hours and will take place at The Chocolate Shed, Yew Tree Farm Craft Centre, Wootton Wawen B95 6BY. Guests of any age and experience are welcome and all tuition and materials will be provided within the cost of the workshop. We will also have a short break half way through the workshop where refreshments will be provided. You are welcome to bring a bottle to enjoy during the workshop (you may also wish to bring your own glasses if you do as we are only able to provide plastic tumblers as glass is not permitted in the back kitchen area of our workshop).
Most dietary requirements can be catered for. If you have specific requirements please contact us prior to booking to ensure that your particular needs can be catered for.
We look forward to welcoming you to begin your voyage of chocolate exploration.
