Immerse yourself in the world of chocolate with this voyage of chocolate discovery.
Working with the highest quality of sustainably sourced chocolate couverture you will enjoy the tastes, scents and textures of different types and origins of chocolate and go home with enough knowledge to continue your chocolate adventures in your own kitchens. Obviously all chocolates created during these workshops will be taken home to share with family and friends.
Each half day workshop will start with a brief chat about participants chocolate making experiences and goals. The content of the morning will then be tailored specifically to the needs and requests of the guests but will be designed to give each participant a thorough grounding in the essential chocolate skill of tempering which underpins all successful chocolate craft. There will be lots of opportunities along the way to sample, taste and share ideas as well as a forum for questions for our team of chocolatiers.
During the workshop, as well as tempering, we may also cover skills such as moulding, shelling, capping, rolling, piping and many more to create an array of chocolates that will impress your family and friends (not to mention making you extremely popular!!!). We aim to use readily available ingredients and equipment so that you can go away with the knowledge to continue your chocolate making journey at home.
What will I create?
The exact nature of the chocolates made during this workshop will differ from session to session but you will definitely come away with an array of delicious chocolate-y creations made by your own fair hand, to share with family and friends (if you can bare to share!)

Can you recommend a place to have lunch/dinner before/after the workshop?
Why not make a day of your visit to The Chocolate Shed? We are located in a beautiful part of the Warwickshire countryside. At Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village there is a lovely array of independent shops and businesses, including The Cowshed cafe (open for lunch) and Yew Tree Farm Shop (excellent take-aways and snacks). Alternatively we recommend The Navigation Inn or Bull's Head in Wootton Wawen or the short trip to either Henley in Arden or Stratford upon Avon, where there is a wide choice of excellent restaurants.

Unless requested in advance, all participants will be using milk and white chocolate. We can accommodate most special dietary requirements but will need at least a weeks notice to ensure suitable alternative ingredients are available. (For example, if we know in advance, dark chocolate can be provided for those on lactose-free or vegan diets.)
Please note, all our chocolate contains SOY lecithin- a key ingredient which helps impart its smooth, melt-in-the-mouth flavour and texture.
A light lunch provided by our superb onsite caterers will be included in the workshop. If you have any allergies or dietary needs related to lunch then please inform us on booking.
If you have any concerns please contact us prior to booking.

The price is inclusive of one person. Due to space limitations we request that only those for whom a space has been reserved attend.
What happens next?
After booking, one of our team will be in touch before your workshop with a health and safety form for the attendees to complete. This is just to ensure that our staff are aware of any allergies or relevant medical conditions so that the session is safe as well as lots of fun!
We reserve the right to cancel workshops at short notice (at least 7 days notice will be given) should the minimum required attendees not be reached. Purchased tickets can be transferred to alternate events or refunded should a suitable alternative event not be found.
