Read on for more about this half day workshop...
No prior knowledge necessary.
All ages (16+) welcome (This workshop is designed and pitched for adults although they are often attended by older teenagers with an interest in developing their chocolate skills. It is not suitable for younger children.)
Length of workshop: 4 hours (approx.) includes a light lunch freshly made by our onsite caterers (example lunch: seasonal quiche & salad or artisan sausage/vegan roll & salad)
Location: This workshop will be hosted at The Chocolate Shed, Yew Tree Farm Shopping Village, Wootton Wawen, B95 6BY.
Immerse yourself in the world of chocolate with this voyage of chocolate discovery.
Working with the highest quality of sustainably sourced chocolate couverture you will enjoy the tastes, scents and textures of different types and origins of chocolate and go home with enough knowledge to continue your chocolate adventures in your own kitchens. Obviously all chocolates created during these workshops will be taken home to share with family and friends.
Each half day workshop will start with a brief chat about participants chocolate making experiences and goals. The content of the morning will then be tailored specifically to the needs and requests of the guests but will be designed to give each participant a thorough grounding in the essential chocolate skill of tempering which underpins all successful chocolate craft. There will be lots of opportunities along the way to sample, taste and share ideas as well as a forum for questions for our team of chocolatiers.
During the workshop, as well as tempering, we may also cover skills such as moulding, shelling, capping, rolling, piping and many more to create an array of chocolates that will impress your family and friends (not to mention making you extremely popular!!!). We aim to use readily available ingredients and equipment so that you can go away with the knowledge to continue your chocolate making journey at home.
What will I create?
The exact nature of the chocolates made during this workshop will differ from session to session but you will definitely come away with an array of delicious chocolate-y creations made by your own fair hand, to share with family and friends (if you can bare to share!)

Do we need to bring anything with us?
No, everything (tuition and materials) will be provided on the day, including an apron. We do recommend however that you don't wear your finest clothes, just in case there is a spillage.
Soft drinks (tea, coffee, squash, water) are available on request, but feel free to bring any other beverage/food to enjoy during the workshop. A light lunch (example: quiche/sausage roll/vegan roll & salad) provided by our superb onsite caterers will be included in the workshop.
Can you recommend a place to have lunch/dinner before/after the workshop?
Why not make a day of your visit to The Chocolate Shed? We are located in a beautiful part of the Warwickshire countryside. Alternatively we recommend The Navigation Inn or Bull's Head in Wootton Wawen or the short trip to either Henley in Arden or Stratford upon Avon, where there is a wide choice of excellent restaurants.

Please note, all our chocolate contains SOY lecithin- a key ingredient which helps impart its smooth, melt-in-the-mouth flavour and texture.
A light lunch provided by our superb onsite caterers will be included in the workshop. If you have any allergies or dietary needs related to lunch then please inform us on booking.
If you have any concerns please contact us prior to booking.

What happens next?
After booking, one of our team will be in touch before your workshop with a health and safety form for the attendees to complete. This is just to ensure that our staff are aware of any allergies or relevant medical conditions so that the session is safe as well as lots of fun!
